Tanzania Wildlife Toursprevious page
Graced by snow capped volcanoes, vast plains of rolling grasslands teeming with wildlife and endless tracts of game rich Acacia woodland; East Africa is the quintessential African destination for wildlife viewing. There are few, if any, wilderness regions on the planet that can hope to offer the staggering diversity of mammals that are possible on this Tanzania wildlife tour; all found in some of the most fabled and scenically spectacular reserves on the continent. Our visit takes us to Lake Manyara National Park home to vast numbers of plains game all residing near the lakeshore, as well as vast numbers of flamingos visiting seasonally. From there we head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area famous for its stunning mixture of highland scenery, and magnificent crater floor plains teeming with unbelievable game numbers. The Serengeti National Park is incredible for predators – Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and Spotted Hyaena, are all found hear as well as a wide range of resident game. In contrast Amboseli National Park is excellent for Elephant, often against the backdrop of the iconic Mt. Kilimanjaro! Mount Kenya National Park’s beautiful montane forest, the impressively jagged peak of Mt Kenya, and mineral rich waterholes are a spectacle to behold.
Our second last destination Buffalo Springs National Reserve is a wild, dry county habitat home to the instantly recognisable Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra and Gerenuk.
Our final destination on this East Africa adventure is the impressive Lake Nakuru National Park where huge seasonal flamingo and pelican concentrations can be found as well as Black and White Rhinoceros and dreamy Fever Tree forests.
